"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions." - Albert Einstein

I've to to greater realization in life; friends are here to keep us company, joyful, youthful and support us in our lives. I appreciate and thank God for giving me the chance to get to know such great friends in my life. However, this is only one 1 half of the realization that i have found.

The other half is that ironically - friends and loved ones would be the ones who are most resistant to me changing for a better. They prefer the "old" me. The typical Nabil who's playful, irritating (so that they will look better), egoistical, arrogant, the joker, the sporty type and as some might know, the smart one (in my family). Therefore my decision to withdraw from NIE's BSc PE teaching wasnt quite welcomed by my family members nor some of my friends.

But i believe that, that is just their opinion and personal belief in pursuing for higher education. And i respect them. However, its just not mine. Pardon me for i may be wrong in MY opinion, like i had always in the past; BUT I believe that it takes MORE than just education to SUCCEED and achieve our DREAMS in life. If we allow others' opinions to affect the way we want to lead our life or whatever plans we have to attain success, we would be in a very grave danger. Because i have come to realization that 10-20 years down the road, when i have my family, its not going to be my friends who would be feeding my kids. Its me.

I feel that we should not be so blind to follow what other people want to do. Instead we should take charge of our own lives and find ways to better it many many times, not by education only. Constantly "reality check" ourselves and be open to other greater opportunities out there. Like what was said in the TODAY papers, July 13th:

If you havent been reading, i feel that its never to late to keep ourselves updated with the world's ever changing trends. One should not be ignorant in such times like these. And oh by the way, if you feel that you could secure that job like what those graduates had done (the last paragraph), then i would say "Congratulations!" BECAUSE they had just gotten yours.
