"Love's gonna get you down."
Ahh.. yesterday - what a day! usually on Saturdays, i'd book my bike prac lesson and go for it, chiong arh! cause i wouldnt know when i'd have the time again to take those pesky lessons-that-they'll-purposely-fail-you. Next batch of recruits coming right up. In fact, its a good18 more days. 10 days after me birthday. SWEET! ~~~ Went back to me old school to play rugby with the juniors' juniors. It was fun. Although we lost, it was all in the name of fun. School was still the same with students having CCAs here and ther, and the OGLs or councillors having some banner thingy going on. Those were the days i tell you. Missed it but wouldnt want to hang there forever right? I tried playing Stand Off and it was tough. PArtly because i know shit about playing that position except to kick and run. Cant help it i tell you... i still have this Scrum Half mentality in me. Like the other day, i played for 9 Div, i was put into the last 15min as a Log. Better known as 2nd Row. In case you're wondering whats wrong with that? Thing is, that position i HAVE NEVER played it before and also, its for the BIGGER guys. YEs. Scrawny lil' me never thought i could play that position except maybe against Primary Shcoolers. That way, i'm the BIG guy eh. 7 min into MY game, i was switched to Flanker. Now now, this aint no Speedy Gonzales winger kinda thing like in soccer. Its for the BIG guys. But what the hell? I played it as well. And it was fun. i miss playing rugby with friends, old timers and juniors. The feeling's different and going back to school just seems so nice. Meeting teachers who still remember your name and juniors who write about you (yes, they did). Legend? Maybe. I dunno. But it was nice. Just in case you juniors wanna quote from me, take this: A rugby player is only as good as the tackles he make. If you dont tackle, you better not be playing rugby. If you make a lousy tackle, go make a better one next time. If you miss a tackle, dont miss the next one. And if you make the good, hard tackle, not only will you remember it, but they guy you tackle will remember it too. There's nothing scary about the opposition. He's human, you're human. The only difference is his jersey and mentality. Tackle low, tackle hard. Make them fly. Make them crash. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Its all about the legs. Get them, and they tumble. No point feeling tired at a single momnet on the pitch, and regretting it for the rest of your life. Play it as as you would want to remember it. ~~~ 7 more months to ORD. And boy, i cant wait... 3 more months to getting a Bike License (my calculation) and that too will put a smile on my face. :) Yours truly, Bil |
