"The feeling of brokeness just sucks..."
Today went to Sim Lim and i became bankrupt. Bought PSP slim and had my mp4 repaired. Dang. Now i'm left with hardly any dough. And as you know - no dough, no go. No money, no hiney. Whatever. So i was left money-less when i went back home via bus. And as I tapped on the ezlink reader the reader went: "TET! TET! TET!". I had no more value in my ezlink card. Doh! So i just moved, or so pretended to move to the nearest seat available and contemplate on whether i should pay or not. Well, in the end, the latter was the result. The obvious choice. You cant expect me to pay with NETS can you? Hey! I had no moolah man... what to doo...? ~ Anyways, on a personal note: Dont get your electronic stuffs from Sim Lim. They are a whole bunch of tricksters, con men and liars just so for you to buy their stuffs. Prices that looked damn cheap is probably part of a package that they will only tell you after you want to make your purchase. And did i mention it doesnt include the cost of 7% GST too? Cheat you be not my fellow money-savers and wise spenders. I know that Sim Lim sure has loads of good stuffs to buy, but do go there with someone who's well-versed with those punks and know his/her computer/electronics knowledge very VERY well. Mine is just well i guess. But as customers, you've got your rights. Dont be sucked in to buying their China goods because of feeling i-asked-a-lot-but-never-buy attitude. Instead, one must have the customer-is-always-damn-right & dont-lie-to-me-muthafcuker-i'm-the-customer-here! attitudes. Here are some tips when going out "getting cheated" at Sim Lim Square: 1) Go recce ALL the shops for the best price. 2) Ask "how much is it after GST?" 3) Do your maths: Know how to calculate 7% from your price. They sometimes cheat. 4) Ask for warranty. Both shop and product. 5) Get their name card. Ask for a contact number. (if possible) 6) Check your product for defects. 7) Ask for NEW set of box. Still sealed if possible. 8) Dont be afraid to ask for a new set. If they dont allow, fuck off. 9) Check your product for physical defects. Is the cover shakey? Is there a scratch? 10) Dont argue, just say politely you dont want it. 11) Be sensible. If you dont think its right, question them. 12) Ask for receipt. (VERY IMPORTANT!) 13) When you reach home, quickly check your product. Try adding songs, videos etc etc into your MP4 for eg. and if theres any problem, go back to the fcuking shop the next day or ASAP. 14) Lastly, try not going to Sim Lim.... ooops. Did this part come too late? |
