Movie Review: Transformers



Finally, I caught one of my old time cartoon-made-to-movie movies - Transformers (Robots in disguise). It was a far cry from the Nancy Drew that i watched some time ago. Its packed with Action, Drama, Humour, Romance and well, a hot fox. Tell you more about that laters.

Ahh... good old Transfomers! Those cool colourful good-team (Autobots) robots that usually take form in the shape of vehiucles VS those dull grey coloured Decepticons which usually transform into unbelievable stuffs. Rifle, Cassette to name a few. Back then, the cartoon was good enough to make me go "Cool!" "Woah!" & probably "Dammit!" (ok, so i didnt say that). The plot had never been interesting. Always the same good guys, bad guys fight fight kind of thing. I dont know why, but i like watching it. I loved Optimus Prime, he's big, he's huge and he's da boss.

Back to track... 2007 Transformers the movie is one awesome freaking (freaking awesome what so ever) movie. The movie has more humour than action i would say and this is no complaint. Action pack movies which contain too many action and seriousness is WAY over doing it man i tell you. The fight scenes between robots VS robots and robots VS humans are just cool and like woah! (Notice that i dont use extravagant words in my blog? Because i have hardly read any books ever since going army). The way the movie blends the whole story is just amazing. It starts off with the voice of Optimus Prime telling you the usual "our planet was peaceful until there was a war blah blah blah" then it goes on to show the life of Sam Witwicky (the main hero) which contain many funny one-liners and witty phrases. Dis that dat doot and hey, the Decepticons are already killing humans and trying to gather some intel on some stuffs that if i tell you what it is, it would be a spoiler. Standard package next - fight between good and eveil and the arrival of the hawtness-of-honour: Megan Fox. That my fellow guy readers, is a must watch scene. Look out for the part where Sam's car "broke" down and Foxy girl here is trying to repair it.

Ok, enough said of the good points. Although the fight scenes between robots were cool, it wasn't fantastic. The movement of the robots were rather fast that you couldnt see a clearer picture of how the robot was "killed". Im hoping that the digital format would be better. Way better.


Conclusion: One hell of a movie that you must watch before it expires in cinemas. Its more of a 19 year old and above old kind of movies because Transformers were in our era. To those little teenage kids (13++) who thinks they like Transformers and wanna catch it anytime soon, go ahead. But Optimus Prime is going to like us more than you. Neh nehh nehh nehh nehh! I give it 4 pine-apples. Wait, make that 4.2, for the hawtness of Megan Fox .
